Away from the forge, Shigeki Tanaka is a keen anime fan and has taken part in a number of anime-themed collaborations, including projects tied to Naruto and Gundam. He is also a car enthusiast: his daily driver is a small racing car set up with tilted (cambered) wheels in the classic Japanese street-racing style.
