오즈쿠 아와세도는 오하라 등 다른 광산의 숫돌보다 일반적으로 약간 더 단단한 편이지만, 히데리야마처럼 슬러지가 많이 나오는 숫돌에 비해서는 입자가 더 고운 경향이 있습니다. 가능한 한 가장 정교한 날을 세울 때 즐겨 사용하는 숫돌입니다. 이 오즈쿠는 결이 매우 균일하며, 나카야마 키타를 연상시키는 아름다운 노란빛을 띠고 있습니다.
