그는 자신의 칼을 단조와 연마 모두 직접 담당하는데, 동일한 사람이 두 공정을 수행함으로써 단조와 연마 간의 피드백이 즉각적으로 이루어진다고 설명합니다. 에치젠에서 갓 단조한 산토쿠를 직접 가는 모습으로 촬영된 바 있습니다.
