Excellent fit and finish · Razor sharp out of the box · Elegant look · Great balance in hand · Thin behind the edge This fit and finish on this rare core steel 210mm (8.3”) Sukenari ZDP-247 Kiritsuke Gyuto is second to none. Damascus mirror polish, mono Ebony Wa, a very nice construction overall. Expensive for a chef knife, but the rarity of the steel, I believe from the 1980’s makes this a special buy for me. As expected from Sukenari, it is thin behind the edge and will cut through paper with ease. It is signed and labeled properly with “ZDP-247” on the blade. In conclusion, This double bevel K-tip chef knife is a beauty. Perhaps it is too nice; Just too good to use. It may likely just sit in my collection unused and in pristine condition…. indefinitely. I see this Sukenari ZDP-247 as a collectors item and I wholeheartedly recommend getting at least one Sukenari in your possession because they do not disappoint.
